Architecture
The Saddle framework wraps around Mule by providing the following elements:
| • | Custom Components Saddle adds custom components to the Mule ESB that increase the connectivity and allow advanced monitoring and administration. |
| • | Message Handling Layer This layer is set on top of the Mule message layer. It allows a homogeneous message handling, the simple access to all data contained in the messages, and the validation of the message content. |
| • | Configuration GUI Graphical frontends for the configuration of the Mule integration infrastructure. |
| • | Monitoring & Administration Provides advanced means to administrate and monitor active Mule instances. This includes the tracing of messages through a graphical workflow representation. |
The message library and the templates can be used outside of Mule and any ESB.
