HL7 Mappings

HL7-Mappings are done like other mappings that are created with Saddle. Besides the normal Component element, there is also a so-called reply component. This element allows to send a message back to an inbound channel from inside a mapping.

For HL7 mappings, this is very helpful, if a mapping should generate an ACK or NAK depending on the content of the received message. The scenario in ACK Generation describes such a situation.
